Par PixelPoint re•ceipt Installation Guide

*Please be aware that this installation guide is intended for Baskin Robbins’ Par Tech Support Team for installing re•ceipt only.

Installation Requirements

  • You have a Par PixelPoint POS
  • You have one of the following Epson receipt printer models:
    • Epson TM-T88II
    • Epson TM-T88III
    • Epson TM-T88IV
    • Epson TM-T88V
  • You have access to the Internet on the terminal
  • You have the passwords necessary for installation
    • Windows Owner level login credentials
    • Par PixelPoint Back Office credentials

If you do not meet ALL of the requirements, DO NOT proceed with installation and send an email to support@mobivity.com with your name, company, POS, and printer information.

Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: 
  • Windows XP
  • WePOS
  • Windows 7 (32 bits)

System Memory:

  • 256 MB RAM

Available Hard Drive Space: 

  • 50 MB

Internet Connection:

  • 768 kbps

Installation Instructions

Start by logging in to the admin level of the terminal and ensuring that the original point of sale receipts are printing.

  • Note: If you are using a USB or Network printer, please do not proceed with installation and proceed below to Installing with USB and Network Printers.
  1. Go to https://install.receipt.com/
  2. Click on Download Installer
  3. Run the program once prompted
  4. Once the SmartReceipt Setup Wizard appears, click Install
  5. Once complete, click on the SmartReceipt Configuration utility that is now located on the Desktop
  6. Enter in your authorization code (typically the store/pc number)
  7. Click Save
  8. Click on the Tools tab on the top of the window.
  9. Click on the License Software button and enter in licensing credentials.
  10. Click on the Ports tab.
    1. Ensure the SmartReceipt Port is set to COM8 and that the Printer Brand is set to Epson.
      1. Note: The Par Pixel POS only supports up to 8 com ports. If COM8 is in use, set the SmartReceipt Port to an unused port on the POS and continue with installation.
  11. Select your receipt printer interface and enter in the port number in which your POS is printing to.
  12. Click Save.
  13. For Windows XP Only: The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear. If asked to search for updates, select No, not this time and click Next. Install the software automatically by clicking Next.
    1. For Windows XP Only: A second Found New Hardware Wizard will appear, please repeat instructions from step 13.
  14. Open PixelPoint POS and click System >Manager >Back Office
  15. Click on the Administrator dropdown at the top of the page and select Network Printer Setup.
  16. Find the printer on the station number that you are currently installing. Change the printer port to COM8.
  17. Click Close Form and Save Changes.
  18. Exit the BackOffice and Restart the POS Station.

Installing with USB and Network Printers

Start by logging in to the admin level of the terminal and ensuring that the original point of sale receipts are printing.

  1. Go to https://install.receipt.com/
  2. Click on Download Installer
  3. Run the program once prompted
  4. Once the SmartReceipt Setup Wizard appears, click Install
  5. Once complete, click on the SmartReceipt Configuration utility that is now located on the Desktop
  6. Enter in your authorization code (typically the store/pc number)
  7. Click Save
  8. Click on the Tools tab on the top of the window.
  9. Click on the License Software button and enter in licensing credentials.
  10. Click on the Configuration tab at the top of the window.
  11. Click on the right hand dropdown for “Select the Receipt Printer Name: and select the name of the printer that the POS is printing on.
  12. Click on the right hand dropdown for “Printer Brand & Model”and select the brand and model of the receipt printer.
  13. Open PixelPoint POS and click System >Manager >Back Office
  14. Click on the Administrator dropdown at the top of the page and select Network Printer Setup.
  15. Find the printer connected to the station number that you’re installing on and change the printer name to SmartReceipt.
  16. Click Close Form and Save Changes.
  17. Exit the Back Office and restart the POS Station.
